The DA Show Weekly Rewind 3/14-3/18

JULIUS RANDLE – 3/14/16
Lakers forward

“I feel great about them. I wouldn’t have it any other way. You’re going to have to go through somebody tough to get to the championship, so it’s kind of good to be battle-tested early. That’s how it was when we were there.”

BRAD UNDERWOOD – 3/14/16
Stephen F. Austin head coach

“I think what you do for 11 or 12 weeks (is important). It’s a tremendous amount of pressure to do it for 12 weeks and to keep battling through injuries or sickness. There’s tremendous reward in winning your conference, but I’d be a big fan of that as well. It would devalue the (conference tournaments), which would probably frustrate the powers that be, but I’m in agreement.”

STEVE PIKIELL – 3/15/16
Stony Brook head coach

“I was lucky. Coach was at our game the other day (when we won the tournament). (He’s) a Hall of Fame coach and a great mentor to me. (Connecticut) built a new gym and that helped and we’ve certainly built a new gym at Stony Brook. So I was able to steal from him on how to build programs. I’m very lucky to have a guy like that that I can call upon when I need some advice.”

SCOTT NAGY – 3/15/16
South Dakota State head coach

“He really is. It just comes very naturally to him. Very easy for him. He can really shoot the basketball. He’s developed his post game. He can get to the free-throw line a lot. We do play through him quite a bit when he’s in the game because he’s so efficient offensively, but we do surround him with four seniors who play a lot. So he doesn’t have to carry the load, but he’s done a great job doing it.”
