From linemen Joey Bosa to DeForest Buckner to Noah Spence – not to mention playmaking linebackers such as Myles Jack, Reggie Ragland and Darron Lee – this year’s NFL Draft class could feature the greatest collection of pass rushers that we’ve seen in quite some time.
Shaq Lawson believes he’s the best of the bunch.
“I feel like I’m the best because I went against the best,” the Clemson defensive end prospect said on CBS Sports Radio’s The DA Show. “Tackles like Ronnie Stanley, Cam Robinson – Cam is going to be in the top five next year and Ronnie is going to be high pick this year, and I played great against both of those guys. I feel like my tape shows I’m a consistent player at all times. You can always count on me to make a play.”
With the draft just a few weeks away, Lawson, 21, admitted he’s a little nervous.
“I just want to find out where I’m going to go,” he said. “I’m just ready to get back to playing football, but I’m going to be nervous because I’m really anxious to find out where my new home and my new team and new community (are) going to be at. But other than that, I’ve been enjoying the process, enjoying taking visits, work-outs and things like that. I’ve been enjoying that.”
